Glenda 1st drop tooth

The tooth has started to wobble for quite a while... We waited and waited for it to drop. It didn't. Finally, she (Glenda) could not bear it any longer. So after dinner, I try to push the tooth in and out of her month to loosen it. Of course, there is tears, scream and blood. Since it is the front tooth, I got to be careful as I do not want to damage the gum and affect the next growing tooth. After a few attempts, I gave up and told Glenda to wait. She is reluctant and insist I pull it out for her (I guess it must have made her so uncomfortable). I made a last try and this time, I use a bit more force and the tooth FINALLY came off...

Favorite Photo Shots

Photos - an expression of what one's mind see .... anywhere, any time..

Photo taken while travelling on a holiday trip to Albany, about 400km south of Perth. Like the clouds formation against the blue sky.

There is a downpour before and caught this beautiful scene which last only a few minutes. A bit pity that my camera cannot display out the effect clearly which I decided to get a better camera, Canon Powershot S5IS afterthat.

Photo taken with special setting to exposure, at the beach while the kids are playing. One of my favourites..

Morning dew - taken at very early hours and the weather is very cold..

Firework - taken from far using a tripot and can see the reflection on the river.

Trisha's birthday

This time, I bought a ready made disney character picture from Spotlight for the cake top and baked a chocolate cake covered with fudge frosting. The sponge cake base is delicious but the fudge frosting is hard. Should have use fresh cream instead.

Wondering why the birthday girl cry ? 'Cos when clumsy daddy took the candle away, the hot wax dropped on her leg..

Later on, we went to E-shed market and she smiled again.. (Her daddy bought her ice-cream)

Pandan cake

Pandan cake is our old time favourite cake. I've probably baked this more than 20 times. Everytime when the cake is out from the oven, almost half of the cake is gone immediately.

Ingredient A :
7 egg white
Sugar 150 grams
Tartar powder 1/2 table spoon

Ingredient B :
7 egg yolk
Sugar 50 grams

Ingredient C :
Coconut milk 66 grams
Corn oil 58 grams
Pandan juice 66 grams
Self raising flour 166 grams

Steps :
1) Preheat oven at 150 deg C and grease a 10 inch round baking tin.

2) Place ingredient A in a mixing bowl and beat it using hand mixer or machine mixer till it becomes whitish and creamy. When the mixer is removed, the cream does not drop out easily from the hook meaning it is ready for next step.

3) Beat ingredient B till it turns white and creamy.

4) Add mixture of step 2 and 3 together and by using a wooden spoon, stir till the mixture blend well. Add ingredient C and continue stirring. Pour the mixture into a 10 inch round baking tin and bake for 30 mins.

Feeding the ducks for the first time..
See Trisha feeding the goat without fear...
